Burien, WA (November 20, 2021) – A pedestrian was seriously injured by a driver in a hit-and-run Saturday morning.
The pedestrian was rushed to hospital after being struck by the driver on State Route 509 north of Burien.
The accident happened before 9:30 a.m. on the northbound lanes of State Route 509 just south of 128th St., the Washington State Patrol said.
The accident resulted in the closure of the northbound lanes for over an hour to enable troopers to look into the cause of the crash.
The roadway was reopened shortly after 11 a.m. following the completion of the investigation, WSP trooper Rick Johnson said.
