EVERETT, Wash., Aug. 14, 2022 — Washington State Patrol Trooper Jacob Kenneth said that a motorcycle collided with a car in Everett on Saturday.
The crash occurred northbound on Interstate 5 between 41st Street and State Route 2 in Everett.
The “fatality collision” blocked the affected roadway.
Southbound I-5 in the area might also be partially blocked, but traffic was able to travel northbound along the shoulder around the scene slowly, Kenneth said.
There was no established detour at the time of filing this report, but road users were advised to avoid the area if possible and take alternate routes.
Kenneth said the ETA for the closure is not known at this time as it would likely be an extended closure.
Meanwhile, Kenneth said his “deepest condolences are with those affected by this tragic incident.”
#SnoCo Collision 🚨: NB I5 between 41st St and SR2, Everett, will be fully blocked by what is believed to be a single motorcycle fatality collision. Our deepest condolences are with those affected by this tragic incident. SB I5 in the area may also be partially blocked as well.
