Montesano, WA (November 4, 2021) – A multi-vehicle accident near Montesano has claimed the lives of two people.
The three-vehicle crash occurred on U.S. Highway 12 west of Montesano in Grays Harbor County just before 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
A vehicle pulling a trailer was traveling east on the highway when the driver lost control of the trailer, the Washington State Patrol said.
The trailer then entered the westbound lanes and collided with two cars, killing the drivers of both vehicles.
WSP identified the two drivers as 41-year-old Jesse Rosenzweig and 33-year-old Angel Cerda-Galeana, both from Aberdeen.
Passengers from two of the vehicles were taken to hospital with injuries.
The affected highway was closed for over five hours.
Investigators are looking into the cause of the crash.
