Tacoma, WA (February 25, 2022)- On Friday morning, a 55-year-old Port Orchard woman crashed into a semi-truck on Narrows Bridge near Tacoma.
The woman was driving a Nissan Sentra when she merged onto the highway from 24th Street and changed lanes in front of a semi-truck.
She then hit the front of the truck with the back of her car, forcing her vehicle to spin in front of the truck and strike a barrier on the left side of the highway.
The woman’s car then bounced back onto the road and rolled onto the passenger side.
Washington State Patrol trooper Robert Reyer said that the woman suffered minor injuries and received an infraction for an unsafe lane change.
The crash caused traffic backups and delays.
