Neah Bay, WA (October 22, 2021) — Rough seas in the Pacific Ocean around Washington have caused around 40 shipping containers to break loose from a cargo ship.
Forty containers were lost off an inbound ship about 43 miles west of the Strait of Juan de Fuca entrance, according to the U.S. Coast Guard Pacific Northwest.

According to the Coast Guard, the vessel was originally en route to Canada, and now the cargo ship is in British Columbia, British Columbia.
A Coast Guard helicopter has been deployed to help locate the lost containers. They’ve managed to track down 35 containers as they move north of the incident.
