Renton, WA (November 17, 2021)- A vehicle accident involving a cement truck and a semi has blocked traffic in Maple Valley.
Medics, police, and firefighters were seen working at the scene of the crash.
The collision occurred at 140th Way Southeast and State Route 169/Maple Valley Highway at about 10:45 a.m. Wednesday.
Cement spilled onto the road and trail after the crash. A large fuel spill was also reported.
The westbound State Route 169 was closed due to the spills and damaged traffic signal poles and gave officials time to investigate the cause of the crash.
The Renton Police Department said both trucks were on their sides, and there were minor injuries.
The collision caused heavy congestion and road closures in the area.
Drivers were advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.Renton
