Belfair, WA (May 29, 2022) – Charges are pending for a driver involved in a head-on collision on State Route 300 west of Belfair on Sunday afternoon, Washington State Patrol said.
The driver, who was traveling westbound in a sedan, collided head-on with an eastbound SUV on the highway at Sand Hill Road intersection.
The sedan driver, a 31-year-old Bremerton man, and a 30-year-old Gig Harbor woman, who was a passenger in the SUV, were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The SUV driver, a 27-year-old Gig Harbor man, was taken to St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Tacoma.
The two vehicles involved in the crash were totaled and impounded, officials said.
The crash fully blocked the highway for more than four hours, WSP said.
Investigation into the crash is underway.
