Whatcom County, WA (May 4, 2022)- Washington State Patrol said that a driver had been charged with vehicular homicide in Whatcom County following a collision on E Axton Road that killed a pedestrian.
The crash occurred late Tuesday night.
Troopers arrested and booked 24-year-old Kaycee Elaine Antila, of Bellingham, into the Whatcom County Jail, charged with suspicion of vehicular homicide while driving under the influence, WSP said.
Antila was driving eastbound in a silver 2018 Subaru Legacy when they struck a 37-year-old pedestrian walking in the same direction, WSP said.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
