Port Orchard, WA (December 22, 2021)- A Port Orchard man has been identified as the driver who died following a collision on Mile Hill Drive.
The Kitsap County Coroner identified the man as 46-year-old Scott Wood of Port Orchard.
Wood was killed in the collision early Tuesday morning.
Wood was driving eastbound in his Audi RS5 Quattro on Mile Hill Drive when he struck a 1997 Jeep Cherokee and died.
The jeep traveled west and made a left turn into a gas station on Woods Road when the accident happened.
Wood was declared dead at the scene of the crash.
Wood was driving “at an extremely high rate of speed,” the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office said.
The jeep driver was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
