Kennewick, WA (July 22, 2022)- One person was killed, and four others were injured following a collision on State Route 14 on Friday morning.
The crash occurred about one mile west of Interstate 82 and about 19 miles southwest of Kennewick, Washington State Patrol said.
Troopers identified the deceased as 35-year-old Edith Colin, of Redmond.
33-year-old Gabriela Colin, of Bellevue, was driving Colin and another passenger in a 2014 GMC Sierra pickup southbound on Plymouth Road when she struck another vehicle after failing to stop at a stop sign.
The driver and the other passenger were both injured in the crash.
The driver and a passenger in the other vehicle involved in the crash, a Ford F-250 pickup which was pulling a boat eastbound on State Route 14 at the time of the crash, were also injured.
The injured were taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland with undisclosed injuries.
Troopers said neither drugs nor alcohol was a factor in the crash, which blocked both directions of the affected highway for hours.
