Fremont, CA (December 14, 2021) – A man was arrested after fatally shooting a coworker in the Tesla factory parking lot at around 3:26 p.m. on Tuesday.
Investigators found out that the victim had just finished his shift at the Tesla facility before being shot in the parking lot. The identity of the victim is still not public information.
Authorities said homicide detectives found the potential suspect in the case. They learned that Anthony Solima and the victim had been arguing earlier in the day and that Solima had stormed off from his shift.
Initially, detectives suspected the incident was a suspicious death, but it was later declared a homicide. When first responders arrived at the scene, they found the victim unresponsive in the parking lot.
Officers determined that the deceased had suffered at least one gunshot wound based upon the scene investigation. The victim was pronounced dead later that day.
Solima was booked into jail on charges of homicide.
