Kennewick, WA (July 13, 2022) – Charges are pending against a motorcyclist, who was involved in a collision in Kennewick on Monday evening, Washington State Patrol said.
The motorcyclist was riding southbound on State Route 397 near Kennewick city limits around 7:50 p.m. when the incident happened.
The motorcyclist, carrying a passenger at the time of the crash, attempted to overtake a truck on the left while another vehicle turned left into a parking lot.
The motorcyclist then hit the truck.
Both the motorcyclist and the passenger were injured and rushed to the hospital with undisclosed injuries following the crash.
Both were wearing helmets, and alcohol was not considered a factor, WSP said.
The truck driver was not injured in the crash.
The crash is still being investigated.
