Naches, WA (May 12, 2022) – On Thursday, Washington State Patrol said a driver died following a suspected DUI crash on Highway 12 near Naches and Milepost 193.
The driver was speeding when his vehicle crashed into the right guard rail, crossed the centerline and into the left lane, rolled over a canal, and hit the ground, Washington State Patrol Sergeant Torson Iverson said.
The driver died at the scene, and there were no passengers in the car.
Iverson said that the driver was under the influence and the crash was preventable.
The rollover blocked one lane of the affected highway while law enforcement worked at the crash scene at press time.
