Bellingham, WA (January 19, 2022)- On Tuesday night, a rollover killed a 66-year-old Sedro-Woolley man south of Bellingham near Chuckanut Drive.
Mark W. Meyer lost his life in the crash involving his green 1995 Subaru Legacy as he drove northbound along Blanchard Road and failed to negotiate a curve near Chuckanut Drive.
Meyer was the only person in the vehicle and was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, Washington State Patrol said.
It is unclear if drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash, which is still under investigation.
The accident led to the closure of Chuckanut Drive in both directions to aid the investigation.
