Driver Dies After Hitting Boulder In Orondo

Orondo, WA (March 16, 2022)- On Thursday morning, one person died in a fatal crash on US 97 north of Orondo.

The accident happened around 8 a.m. on Highway 97.

The driver veered off the road and hit a boulder while traveling north on the road.

The driver died at the scene, Washington State Patrol said.

No other details of the crash were immediately available, but WSP is investigating the crash.

Although the highway is open, troopers urge drivers to slow down in the area.
