Driver Loses Life In Milton Truck Accident

Milton, WA (February 16, 2022)- A truck driver lost his life in a crash on Interstate 5 in Milton after he was hit by a semi-truck on Tuesday morning.

The 65-year-old driver of the semi-truck was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, Washington State Patrol Trooper Robert Reyer said.

The truck driver died after he was struck by the semi-truck while strapping down a box truck onto his tow truck on the shoulder of I-5.

The 65-year-old faces vehicular homicide charges.

The accident led to the closure of two right lanes of northbound I-5 for four hours to aid the investigation, but they were later reopened.
