Hit-And-Run Victim Dies From His Injuries

Portland, Or. (November 29, 2021) – A Washington man injured during a hit-and-run crash last week has died of his injuries.

Portland police stated that a 20-year-old from Tacoma, WA, Neri Ramirez Mendoza, died at the hospital.

Officers were called to the 4400 Block of Northeast 122nd Avenue on November 21; they found Ramirez-Mendoza, with life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe that this was a crash in which someone did not intentionally hit Ramirez-Mendoza with their car.

Before the police could arrive at the scene, the driver fled.

Ramirez-Mendoza was taken to a nearby hospital. On Monday, according to the police, Ramirez-Mendoza died from his injuries.
