Man, 54, Dies In Silverdale Rollover

Silverdale, WA (January 31, 2022)- A man died on Monday morning after his truck rolled off Highway 303 and onto Silverdale Way, the Washington State Patrol said.

The man, identified as 54-year-old Tony Bonner of Roy, headed south on the highway and tried to speed past another vehicle when his truck hit a patch of ice.

The truck then plunged down Silverdale Way after striking and rolling over a Jersey barrier.

Troopers pronounced Bonner dead at the scene.

The truck’s occupant, the 21-year-old Spanaway man, sustained minor injuries, but no other person was hurt.

The crash caused the closure of Silverdale Way NW for more than three hours as troopers investigated the crash.

Icy roads were reported around the region on Monday morning.
