Puyallup, WA (October 29, 2021) – A man from Federal Way has been charged with vehicular homicide after police say he caused an accident, killing a woman who was walking on the side of the road. The driver is believed to have been impaired at the time of the crash.
The Puyallup police were called to the 300 block of 39th Ave. SW on Oct. 28 at 11:30 p.m. for reports of a female pedestrian who was struck by a car. When officers arrived, they found her lying in the roadway. Attempts were made to administer lifesaving measures but she died at the scene of the accident.
A preliminary report revealed that a lady was driving her vehicle on 39th Avenue when for some unknown reason she stopped in the lane, then got out of the car and was hit by a driver.
The suspect has been booked on charges of vehicular homicide.
