Stevens Pass, WA (July 27, 2022)- Many people were injured following a head-on collision in Stevens Pass on Wednesday.
The collision involved a car and a truck and trailer.
The crash “fully blocked” eastbound State Route 2 at Milepost 53 while traffic alternated.
The car involved in the collision, a white Mercedes, was involved in a hit and run just before the Stevens Pass incident, Washington State Patrol Trooper Jacob Kenneth said.
Troopers were on scene, and tows were on the way, Kenneth said.
Many victims were rushed to the hospital, including an airlift to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The extent of the injuries was unknown at the time of filing this report.
