One Dead, Two Injured In Auburn Wrong-Way Crash

Auburn, WA (May 22, 2022) – One person was killed, and two others were injured following a wrong-way crash in Auburn Sunday night.

A driver was traveling the wrong way on State Route 18 when the incident happened.

The crash involved three vehicles, Washington State Patrol said.

The driver collided head-on with another vehicle, killing the other driver at the scene.

A driver and a passenger in the third vehicle were injured and rushed to Auburn Regional Medical Center.

The wrong-way driver is suspected of driving under the influence and faces DUI and vehicular homicide charges, WSP said.
