Richland, WA (April 20, 2022)- Washington State Patrol said that one person was hospitalized following a violent crash on 240 Freeway Wednesday morning.
The crash, which involved two vehicles, occurred around 10 a.m. when an SUV merged onto the westbound side of the freeway and crashed into another car already in the main lanes.
The crash caused severe damage to the SUV after landing on the eastbound curb, WSP said.
Officials said that the injured victim was rushed to Kadlec Regional Medical Center as a precaution.
The crash appeared to be a case of failure to yield.
