Ritzville Collision Leaves Two Drivers Dead

Ritzville, WA (February 18, 2022)-  Two drivers died on Wednesday evening when their vehicles collided near Ritzville on State Route 261.

The crash occurred in Adams County at about 6:24 p.m., killing the two drivers.

65-year-old John Gielisch, of Ritzville, crossed the center lane on SR 261 before colliding with another vehicle driven by Edward Bartlett, 63, of Yelm, the Washington State Patrol said.

The two drivers were wearing a seat belt when the incident happened, WSP said.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
