Seattle Man Accidentally Crushes Family Member to Death With Truck

Seattle, WA (October 21, 2021) On Thursday, a man who backed his pickup truck and fifth-wheel trailer onto his property accidentally ran over a family member.

At about 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to a report of a collision they said occurred at 8000 block of 36th Avenue South.

A man trying to back his truck and fifth-wheel trailer from the street onto his property realized he had hit his fence.

Unknown to him a family member had been pinned between a fence and a trailer and been severely injured.

Seattle Fire Department responded to the scene and attempted life-saving measures, but the victim died at the scene. 

The driver was evaluated and found not to be impaired by drugs or alcohol.

The victim was a 73-year-old-man.
