Two Killed After Driver Of Stolen Van Crashed Into Truck In College Place

College Place, WA (May 26, 2022) – Two people were killed after the driver of a stolen van crashed into a pickup truck in College Place on Wednesday.

28-year-old Anthony Stalder, of Richland, stole a van belonging to the U.S. Linen and Uniform in front of Gesa Credit Union, 1355 West Poplar Street in Walla Walla, Washington State Patrol said.

Stalder was driving the wrong way on State Route 125 and going southbound in the northbound lanes when he collided with a 2022 Dodge Ram pickup truck near Commercial Drive, WSP said.

Both Stalder and the truck driver, 48-year-old Jeremy Richards, of La Grande, died at the scene.
