Vehicle Catches Fire In Seattle Crash

Seattle, WA (July 20, 2022) – A vehicle caught fire following a crash in Seattle on Wednesday morning, the Washington State Department of Transportation said.

The crash involved three vehicles on westbound State Route 520 Floating Bridge on Lake Washington.

The collision blocked multiple westbound lanes of the highway, but vehicles were able to get by on the right shoulder, WSDOT said.

The affected lanes were later reopened.

No injuries were reported in the crash.

The Washington State Patrol, Fire Assistance, and the Incident Response Team were on the scene following the crash. 

The cause of the crash was yet to be ascertained at press time.
