91-Year-Old Dies In Rural Whitman County Rollover

Almota, WA (March 26, 2022) – On Saturday afternoon, a 91-year-old died in a rollover on State Route 194 in rural Whitman County.

The area is about 20 miles west of Pullman.

Robert Glaspie of Pomeroy was driving eastbound on SR 194 at about 2 p.m. on Saturday when the incident happened.

Glaspie had failed to negotiate a curve when his 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup left the roadway at milepost one near Almota.

Glaspie sustained fatal injuries as his truck rolled down an embankment.

Glaspie was not wearing a seatbelt when the accident happened, Washington State Patrol said.

The crash is still being investigated.
