Des Moines, WA (January 3, 2022)- Police are searching for a big rig driver who allegedly killed a pedestrian early Monday morning.
The hit pedestrian was found on Pacific Highway S. unconscious. Upon paramedics’ arrival, they took all necessary measures to save the person’s life, but they died at the scene.
According to witness reports, the victim was trying to cross an area that did not have a designated pedestrian walkway. A large box truck then made a right turn, hitting the victim.
The driver of the large box truck proceeded north without stopping.
There were road closures in the area as the investigation unfolded.
