Port Orchard Crash Kills Female Pedestrian

Bellevue, WA (December 16, 2021)- A woman has died after she was struck by a car on Wednesday evening.

The accident happened in Port Orchard in the 1600 block of Bay Street, near the Blue Goose Tavern, at about 6:15 p.m.

A police officer provided first aid to the victim, but she was pronounced dead shortly after South Kitsap Fire and Rescue arrived on the scene.

Washington State Patrol and the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the response.

No criminal charges have been filed, while speed and impairment have been ruled out as possible causes of the crash.

Kitsap County Coroner Jeff Wallis did not provide the pedestrian’s name or age as the victim’s family is still being contacted.
