Search For Federal Way Hit-And-Run Driver Underway

Federal Way, WA (February 3, 2022)- Police are looking for the driver who hit a teenager on a crosswalk in Federal Way on Thursday afternoon.

The driver hit the 17-year-old boy near the 400 block of South 320th Street at about 4 p.m. while riding his scooter on a marked crosswalk, Cmdr. Kurt Schwan of Federal Way Police said.

The driver fled the scene and later abandoned his vehicle, Schwan said.

The boy sustained minor injuries and was rushed to Harborview Medical Center as a precaution, police said.

Efforts are on to identify the driver as the investigation continues.
