BENTON COUNTY, Wash., Aug. 11, 2020 — A sleepy driver crashed in Benton County on Wednesday, Washington State Patrol Trooper Chris Thorson said.
A truck was the only vehicle involved in the rollover, which occurred on Interstate 82 at Milepost 98, about two miles east of Benton City.
The crash resulted in a minor injury, Thorson said.
One lane was blocked as a result of the crash.
“The driver admitted falling asleep at the wheel,” Thorson said.
It was unclear at press time if any charges were pending against the driver.
