Three Hospitalized After Suspected DUI Crash On SR 28

Rock Island, WA (March 27, 2022) – Three people were hospitalized after sustaining injuries from a crash on State Route 28 Sunday afternoon.

The victims included the driver, 38-year-old Linnea Fahrnkopf of Seattle, and two bicyclists.

Fahrnkopf left the roadway to the right and rear-ended two of eight bicyclists traveling on the shoulder as she drove her 2009 Infiniti G37 westbound on SR 28 south of Palisades Road around 1 p.m. that fateful day.

Fahrnkopf’s vehicle came to a rest in a ditch, about 75 yards from the scene.

The two bicyclists, David Cook, 53, and Jerad McGill, 43, both of Tacoma, were rushed to Central Washington Hospital with injuries alongside the driver.

Fahrnkopf faces felony vehicular assault charges after she was suspected of being under drugs or alcohol, Washington State Patrol said.
